Baft's Khabr National Park To Be Iran's Tourism Signet Ring
The biggest tourism and ecotourism project of the Middle East was started. Finally after two years and a half struggles made by Alireza Razm Husseini, Kerman Province Governor General, the project was launched by the private sector and it is supposed to be Iran's tourism signet ring in the near future.
According to the Kerman Province State Government Public Relations Department, Thursday, Jan. 25, 2017, was an important and memorable day for people of Khabr District, Baft Country, because after two years and a half after signing a MOU with the private sector, Razm Husseini has succeeded to take all necessary certificates and permissions to implement this project. So, Kabar's tourism and ecotourism project was inaugurated with the presence of Masoumeh Ebtekar, Vice President of Iran and head of Environmental Protection Organization, through an investment as much as 300 billion Tomans by the private sector.
What do you know about Khabr National Park?
Khabr National Park, 149983 ha, is a protected zone located in the Kerman's Baft County. Thanks to its great biodiversity, considerable heights, many plains, various watershed basins, it is unique both in the province and the country.
Khabr National Park is the 11th zone in Iran which is featured as the national park. It was categorized as a protected zone 1971 and then was protected as the wildlife shelter of Khabr and Ruchun in 1975 and then was recorded as the cultural tourism area in the UNESCO in 1991. Finally, a great part of the zone was improved as the national park in 1999.
Khabr National Park is the habitat for certain animals such as tigers, Persian Cats, wild goats, Blanford's fox, ovis and mouflon, jackals, hyenas, hogs, caracals, wolves, deers, rabbits, golden eagles, Bonelli's eagles, snake eagles, kestrels, bearded vultures, vultures, hawks, fawns, partridges, See-see partridges, golden orioles, ordinary doves, Sandgrouses and Jirofti birds. Roughly 470 plant species have been recognized in the Khabr National Park. Because of its great heights, many plains, various watersheds basins, different ecologic conditions, cold, mild and tropical climates, Khabr National Park is a unique area.
Vice President of Iran Appreciates Kerman Governor General Struggles
Masoumeh Ebtekar, Vice President of Iran and head of Environmental Protection Organization along with Dabiri, natural environment and biodiversity deputy of Environmental Protection Organization, Moghadasi, vice chancellor of Forest, Range and Watershad Management Organization of Iran, Rahmani, deputy of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Iran came to Kerman to participate in the inaugural ceremony of the greatest tourism and ecotourism of the Middle East in the Baft's Khabr.
Upon her arrival in the Khabr District, Ebtekar in association with the Kerman Governor General participated in the inaugural ceremony for constructing gas pipeline to the Khabr villages and then they went to the Khabr National Park and visited the area closely. Meanwhile, Ebtekar participated in the opening ceremony of executive operation of the biggest tourism and ecotourism project of the Middle East in the Baft County.
Appreciating Razm Husseini and other Kemani authoritie' struggles, she said: "This project is started in order to improve the country's level in several aspects including environmental and economic aspects."
"Khabr National Park project can be considered as a good model for the sustainable ecotourism, implementation of management plans with the participation of local communities and very good participation based on studies and national and international experience," Ebtekar added.
Khabr National Park Won't be Dilapidated
Vice President of Iran and head of Environmental Protection Organization stressed that Khabr National Park will be protected and it will never be transferred or dilapidated and it is supposed that the sustainable tourism activities are implemented based on national principles, frameworks and details in order to see the improved protection indicators, increased biodiversity and protection of eye-catching views of the Khabr Park.
Ebtekar reminded that the environmental management will be done across the Khabr's villages with the aim of preventing pollution of the natural areas by the villages' wastes. It also protects springs and rivers and promotes ecotourism in all local, national and international levels.
Kerman Governor General Stresses the Necessity of People's Participation in Kabr's Tourism Project
Another speaker of the ceremony was Razm Hussesni who said: " Khabr National Park will be a hub for attraction of tourists through protecting the environment and observing all rules related to the tourists."
"The MOU of the greatest tourism and ecotourism project of the Middle East in the Khabr area of Baft County was signed by Kerman Government Department and the private sector in 2004." He added.
He also said that this project is a great project and one of achievements of the President Rouhani's tour of Kerman Province, because its way was paved through the cabinet's travel.
Pointing to the high level of the culture of people in this area, Razm Husseini said: "People of Khabr area will pave the way for attraction of more tourists and help the improvement of the area."
Khabr National Park Is the Greatest Ecotourism of Iran
Natural environment and biodiversity deputy of Environmental Protection Organization said that Khabr National Park is the greatest ecotourism of Iran.
Dabiri made it clear that participation of Iranian investor in this project can be a good sign for continuance of such unique measurements in the future plans of the country.
